First, you’ll need to carefully check which rule you allegedly broke that led to you getting a mute or a ban. You’ll need to know this, so that you can properly explain to Hypixel’s moderators why you believe the mute or ban is unjust.
2. Link Your Minecraft Account to Your Hypixel Account
There are two ways to do this:
Option #1 — Link the Accounts In-Game
First, make sure you’re logged into the Hypixel Forums with the account you want to link to your Minecraft account. After that, run Minecraft, connect to the Hypixel server, and use the /linkaccount command in-game.
After you hit enter, the command will display a text with a link. Click on it to link your accounts.

Option #2 — Link the Accounts via Hypixel’s Linking Server
If you can’t connect to Hypixel’s server for whatever reason, you can use their dedicated Linking Server to link your Hypixel and Minecraft accounts.
To do that, just launch Minecraft, then access the Multiplayer tab. Then, either add the Linking Server to your list or initiate a direct connection to it. I personally recommend adding it, so that you’ll have it saved in Minecraft for future use if you create more Hypixel accounts. This is the server address you’ll need to use: forums.hypixel.net.
After you connect to the server, you’ll receive a message that provides you with a verification code. Write it down since you’ll need it for the next step.
Now, access https://hypixel.net/link-minecraft/ in your browser. Look for the Enter the code on screen field and type in your verification code. Finally, hit Link account, and you’re done.
3. Fill Out the Appropriate Appeal Form
- For an in-game ban, you’ll need to fill out the form found on the Create an Appeal page.
- For a forum ban, you’ll have to fill out the form found on the Create a Forum Ban Appeal page.
Once you submit the appeal form, you’ll need to wait for someone from Hypixel’s team to view it and get back to you. According to what I have read on Hypixel’s forums, it could take up to 48 hours to get a reply.
