Only 3 Steps (Quick + Easy) to Getting a Georgian IP Address in 2024:
- Choose a VPN. Pick a VPN with at least 1 server in Georgia — I recommend ExpressVPN because it is very secure, very fast, and very good for streaming and torrenting.
- Download the VPN. It only takes a few minutes to download and install a VPN app on your device. If you plan to connect more than one device, check how many simultaneous connections the VPN allows.
- Choose a server in Georgia. Scroll down through the VPN’s list of server locations and select a server in Georgia. That’s it! Now, you can browse the web as if you were located in Georgia!
The best way to get a Georgian IP address is to use a VPN, which is a service that helps you connect to servers worldwide. When you connect to a VPN server, it assigns you a new IP address from the server in your new location (Georgia, for example). With a Georgian IP address, you can surf the internet as if you were actually located there.
VPNs are affordable, easy to use (even for beginners), and completely legal. Also, VPNs secure your data by routing all of your traffic through an encrypted tunnel, making it completely unreadable so third parties, such as your internet service provider (ISP) or hackers, can’t track your internet activity.
I tested dozens of the top VPNs on the market in 2024, and each of my selections is able to get a Georgian IP address. However, my favorite is ExpressVPN thanks to its blazing-fast speeds and intuitive apps. Editors' Note: ExpressVPN and this site are in the same ownership group.
Best VPNs for Getting a Georgian IP Address in 2024
🥇 1. ExpressVPN – Best VPN for Getting a Georgian IP Address in 2024
ExpressVPN is my top choice for getting a Georgian IP address because it’s super-secure, super-fast, has great streaming support, and allows torrenting on all servers — it’s also ranked #1 on our list of the top VPNs in 2024.
I really like that getting a Georgian IP address with ExpressVPN is super easy — all you have to do is scroll down its alphabetized server list and click on Georgia to connect, or type Georgia in the search bar. I also like ExpressVPN’s “Favorites” feature, which makes it easier to reconnect to my most used servers (such as Georgia) and saves me the time to search for it again on the server list.
ExpressVPN is the fastest VPN on the market — I didn’t notice much change in speed while connected to a Georgia server than when I was connected to my regular network thanks to its proprietary Lightway protocol. In my speed tests, sites loaded instantly, and it didn’t take more than 1-2 seconds for 4K videos to load without buffering or lags. And I was impressed that it took just 12 minutes to download a 17 GB file on the Georgian server.
I also like that independent auditors have verified ExpressVPN’s no-logs policy multiple times. ExpressVPN also includes:
- Split tunneling. This feature allows you to simultaneously route apps through either your local network or the VPN, and it’s available on Android, Windows, Macs, and routers. I used this feature to access my local bank app on my ISP, while I scrolled through my Twitter feed connected to the VPN.
- Perfect forward secrecy. This feature prevents hackers from decrypting past or future encryption keys by changing encryption keys for each VPN session.
- RAM-only servers. No data is stored on the hard drive and all of the data is wiped from the server after a reset.
- Ad blocker. Stops ads, allowing sites to load faster. ExpressVPN’s ad blocker is one of the best VPN ad blockers out there.
ExpressVPN plans start at $4.99 / month, which is a little pricey, but it truly delivers excellent value. All plans are backed with a 30-day money-back guarantee.

🥈 2. Private Internet Access (PIA) – Great Torrenting Support
Private Internet Access (PIA) is one of my favorite VPNs for torrenting. It has very fast torrenting speeds (it took me 15 minutes to download the same 17 GB file I downloaded with ExpressVPN), has port forwarding, which allows you to connect to more peers for faster speeds, and works with all of the top torrent clients like BitTorrent and Vuze. PIA is also great for streaming.
In my speed tests using the WireGuard protocol, PIA had extremely fast speeds on its Georgian server — websites loaded almost instantly, and my 4K videos loaded in 3 seconds and there was no buffering. While WireGuard is a top-tier protocol when it comes to speeds, it’s still not as fast as ExpressVPN’s Lightway.
I’m also very impressed with PIA’s security. It comes with RAM-only servers, perfect forward secrecy, and open-source apps. I also like that PIA’s no-logs policy passed an independent audit like ExpressVPN, and I like how it has also been verified multiple times in court documents and transparency reports, which show all of the requests that PIA receives for user data and how PIA didn’t have any data to share.
PIA has a really good ad tracker and malware blocker called PIA MACE — it blocks ads, ad trackers (which collect information about your online behavior and use it to then target you with ads), and malicious sites. In my tests, PIA MACE blocked practically all ads — including the annoying pop-up ads — and stopped me from visiting shady sites 100% of the time.
PIA’s plans start from $2.03 / month, and they’re all covered with a 30-day money-back guarantee.

🥉 3. CyberGhost VPN – Easy-to-Use VPN
CyberGhost VPN has 10+ virtual servers in Georgia, and all of them allow streaming and torrenting. Although virtual servers are not physically located in the country, they still provide you with an IP address from that country and are very secure.
CyberGhost is always one of my top recommendations for someone who’s never used a VPN. This is because it has a very user-friendly interface, all of the features include brief descriptions, and it only takes a few minutes to get used to and navigate — and you can connect to a Georgia server in mere seconds (there is a search bar and you can choose a Georgian server as a favorite).
What I also like about CyberGhost VPN is that it allows you to customize your connection settings on macOS and Windows with its Smart Rules feature — for example, I set up CyberGhost to automatically launch when it detects an unsecured Wi-Fi network (like at the gym or coffee shop).
I also like that CyberGhost VPN is fast and its speeds are in a similar territory to Private Internet Access for all online activities, including gaming and torrenting — but it can’t match ExpressVPN.
CyberGhost VPN has great security features — it uses perfect forward secrecy, runs on RAM-only servers, and has a no-logs policy that has been verified via an independent audit. On top of that, the VPN offers protection against leaks — in my tests, it never exposed my real IP address.
Plus, CyberGhost VPN has an ad blocker (Content Blocker) that’s great at blocking malicious sites. I tested it, and it always stopped me from visiting shady sites. That said, it didn’t get rid of any ads on websites but only removed ads from search engines so it’s not as good as Private Internet Access’s PIA MACE or ExpressVPN’s ad blocker.
CyberGhost plans cost as low as $2.03 / month, and there’s a 45–day money-back guarantee for the yearly plans (the monthly plan has a 14-day refund window).

4. NordVPN — Top-Notch Security Features
NordVPN is an excellent choice for getting secure connections to Georgian servers. It operates on RAM-only servers, uses perfect forward secrecy, has an audited no-logs policy, and offers full leak protection (WebRTC, IPv6, and DNS) — during my tests, NordVPN never leaked my IP address.
NordVPN also comes with a great ad blocker (Threat Protection), which gets rid of ads, protects you from malware-infected downloads, and blocks your connections to suspicious websites. On top of that, the Threat Protection feature stays active even when your device isn’t connected to a server.
In terms of speed, NordVPN is one of the fastest VPNs on the market. During my speed tests, all websites I visited opened instantly, HD and 4K videos didn’t buffer, and I didn’t experience any lag during my online games while connected to NordVPN’s Georgian servers. That said, ExpressVPN was faster.
When it comes to streaming NordVPN is a great choice. However, unfortunately NordVPN doesn’t allow P2P traffic on its Georgian servers.
Plus, NordVPN has very user-friendly apps — they are very easy to navigate, and it didn’t take me more than 3-4 seconds to find and connect to one of its servers in Georgia. What I also like about NordVPN is that it has an Auto-connect feature that lets you choose what server you want the VPN to connect you to when you go online.
NordVPN has plans that start at $2.99 / month. All purchases are backed by a risk-free 30-day money-back guarantee.
5. Surfshark — Great Features + Affordable Plans
Surfshark is an excellent choice if you need a Georgian IP address, but you’re on a tight budget. It has several paid plans that start at $1.99 / month, and all of its plans are backed by a 30-day money-back guarantee.
What I really like about Surfshark is that it offers good speeds. During my speed tests, sites took 1-2 seconds to load, and I was able to watch HD and 4K videos with minimal buffering, but I did experience some lag during my online games. That said,, ExpressVPN and Private Internet Access were much faster.
Surfshark is great for streaming. It also allows P2P traffic on all of its servers, including its Georgian servers, and works with torrent clients such as BitTorrent, uTorrent, and Vuze.
What’s more, Surfshark has advanced security features like RAM-only servers and perfect forward secrecy. Surfshark only protects you against DNS leaks — but I never experienced any leaks in my tests.
Plus, Surfshark’s apps are very easy to use — they have a user-friendly interface and come with plenty of convenient features, like adding server locations as Favorites which puts them at the top so you don’t have to scroll through the entire server list. There’s also a Recently Used section — so you can reconnect to the Georgian server with a click — and a customizable Quick-connect button that connects you to your preferred server (like the Georgia server location).
Surfshark costs just $1.99 / month. All plans come with a 30-day money-back guarantee.

How to Choose the Best VPN for Georgia in 2024
- Look for servers in Georgia. To get a Georgian IP address, you need a VPN with at least one Georgia server. ExpressVPN, my #1 choice, has a fast and secure server in Georgia.
- Find a VPN with solid security features. All of the VPNs I recommend have excellent security features, including 256-bit AES encryption, a kill switch (cuts off your internet connection if the VPN connection fails to prevent data leaks), a strict no-logs policy (that is verified through either an independent audit, a transparency reports, or in court documents), and protection against DNS, IPv6, and WebRTC leaks.
- Get a VPN with fast speeds. VPNs reduce your internet speed because of the distance between your device and the server, and due to the extra encryption. However, the VPNs on this list maintain excellent speeds for browsing, streaming, torrenting, and gaming.
- Consider streaming and torrenting capabilities. The VPNs on my list have excellent streaming and P2P support.
- Select a VPN that’s user-friendly. The VPNs I suggest are simple to set up and provide easy connections to Georgian servers in order to obtain a Georgian IP address.
- Consider good overall value. My top VPN recommendations for getting a Georgian IP address come with added perks like split-tunneling and ad blockers. They support multiple device connections, offer competitive pricing, and have a money-back guarantee.
