Super Cleaner Review: Quick Expert Summary

Super Clean is a system optimization app for Android that helps you clean up junk files, manage running processes, remove similar images, and even compress photos.

The app has several handy features:

  • Junk remover.
  • Process manager.
  • Large file remover.
  • Similar image remover.
  • Photo compressor.
  • Wi-Fi speed test and status report.
  • Battery manager and health report.
  • Weather report.

Overall, I found Super Clean-Master of Cleaner useful and easy to use. However, unlike some of its previous versions, the latest one doesn’t have malware protection (you’d need an app like Norton for that). But as a system optimization app, it works pretty well.

What I don’t like about Super Clean–Master of Cleaner is the number of ads in the free version. There were so many of them (including full-screen video ads) that I’d sometimes lose my patience and exit the app without optimizing my phone. You can pay to get rid of the ads, but if you’re willing to invest a little cash, there are better Android apps that include device optimization tools (TotalAV comes to mind).

Super Clean-Master of Cleaner Full Review — Basic Cleanup Tools (Your Phone Can Already Do Most of That)

Super Clean-Master of Cleaner is an Android app that offers system optimization features, such as a cache cleaner, a large file remover, a process manager, a photo compressor, and others. However, it doesn’t provide more functionality than what your Android phone can already do, and it also doesn’t provide any security features to protect you from malware or other Android threats.

Plans & Pricing — Free (Upgrade to Remove Ads)

Super Clean is a free app with the option to upgrade to an ad-free version, which is available monthly for $1.39, quarterly for $2.69, or annually for $4.09.

If you like this app’s functionality but mind the ads (I did!), the upgrade might be worth it. However, there’s no money-back guarantee, so you might not be able to get a refund if you realize you don’t want to use this app after all.

Super Clean-Master of Cleaner Security Features — No Security Features (But You Can Remove Junk Files)

Super Clean-Master of Cleaner Security Features — No Security Features (But You Can Remove Junk Files)

Super Clean-Master of Cleaner offers no security features. If you’re looking for an antivirus scanner and real-time protection for your Android phone, you’ll need to look elsewhere. That said, it does provide some decent non-security-related features.

For example, Quick Clean offers a super easy way to remove junk files such as app caches, temporary files, log files, old downloads, screenshots, large files, and videos. While Android has a built-in storage optimizer, it doesn’t let you automatically delete caches for multiple apps at once. Overall, I found this feature much better than, for example, APUS Security’s optimization tool. APUS doesn’t show you what’s being cleaned and is not as thorough.

Quick Clean is easily my favorite Super Clean tool. It lets you review every app and file before deletion, which is very useful. You can select a single file, an app, or multiples of any combination.

Process Manager lets you see and manage any processes running on your Android device in one place. You can also stop as many apps as you’d like at once and tap on the app itself to access its management menu. From there, you can easily manage the app, clearing app data and cache or managing permissions and notifications. Overall, I found this feature to be quite handy.

Large Files lets you delete the biggest files on your device. It’s a convenient way to quickly free up space: you can remove individual large files or select multiple files for simultaneous deletion. The entire process is smooth and efficient. I used the tool to remove some rather large video and audio files from my phone — it helped me reclaim about 450 MB of space.

The similar image remover isn’t as useful as the other tools. It finds and flags images that aren’t necessarily duplicates. In my case, I knew about similar images and wanted to keep all copies, so it didn’t really help me. A tool that actually flags duplicate images would have been more useful, but unfortunately, this feature isn’t available. However, I still think TotalAV’s duplicate photo and video finder is better. On top of detecting similar photos and videos, it detects dark or just blurry ones. The tool also lets you find and delete duplicate contacts — none of which Super Clean can do.

However, there is a feature called Photo Compressor, which compresses multiple photos at once to save space. You can choose from High Quality, Normal, or Low Quality. I tried the Normal setting, and my image size was reduced from over 5 MB to around 800 kB. That’s pretty impressive. Honestly, this is one of the most inventive features I’ve seen, and it’s great that it’s bundled into Super Clean–Master of Cleaner for free. Props for that!

There’s a separate screen called WiFi that lets you view your network and run a speed test. This is handy for checking which Wi-Fi network you’re connected to, the signal strength, and your router’s speed. You can also view your device’s IP address here if you ever need it. However, the app doesn’t actually protect your Wi-Fi network like Norton’s mobile app.

Despite multiple attempts, I could never get the speed test to work. I kept receiving an error message saying, “Not found speed test servers,” so it appears this tool is currently broken. However, this feature is pretty redundant anyway because you can always use Google’s speed test tool instead (simply search for “speed test” in Google to find it).

Battery Info lets you see your battery’s temperature, voltage, and size in mAh. You can also manage battery life in several ways, including allowing your screen to shut off sooner and reducing its brightness, restricting background apps, enabling dark mode on your device, and more. I like this tool because it offers more information and functionality than your Android’s built-in battery information settings page. Android only shows the status (charging or not charging), battery level, and battery capacity.

Super Clean-Master of Cleaner Ease of Use & Setup — Super Easy to Install (But There Are Lots of Ads)

Super Clean is easy to set up and use, though some features are hidden within different menus. It’s straightforward to navigate, but the developers could have streamlined the process better. The interface and the app’s name are also poorly translated into English, which will annoy some users.

Super Clean-Master of Cleaner Ease of Use & Setup — Super Easy to Install (But There Are Lots of Ads)

The biggest issue with using this app is the amount and content of advertising in the free version. Super Clean appears to have no control over the ads displayed. Particularly problematic are the ones that look like app notifications and try to compel you to action (usually downloading a shady app. I found that the ads exceeded the limits of my patience most of the time, but as is the case with bad grammar, the level of annoyance (and the actual number of ads) will vary from one user to another.

Super Clean-Master of Cleaner Customer Support — Unresponsive (Ignores Emails)

You can (attempt to) reach support via email at jikun@cplusplan.com. I tried it myself, but I’m disappointed to say that I never received a response, even after more than a week. For this reason, I can’t recommend paying for a subscription, as you may not be able to get help if you need it.

If you’re looking for an app with excellent customer service and many excellent features, consider Norton instead. Norton provides 24/7 live chat and phone support with knowledgeable agents.

Is Super Clean-Master of Cleaner a Good Device Optimizer for Android?

Super Clean-Master of Cleaner is a decent option for Android users looking to optimize their device — but it’s certainly not the best on the market. Though it offers features like junk file cleaning, process management, large file removal, and photo compression, they don’t offer much beyond what Android already does natively. For example, Android’s built-in optimizer already handles cache cleaning and storage management, making Super Clean somewhat redundant.

The app also lacks important features that many users might expect from a device optimization tool. It doesn’t offer malware protection, a VPN, or real-time security monitoring, which are standard in other apps like Norton or TotalAV. Additionally, the similar image remover isn’t very accurate and could be improved.

Super Clean is easy to use, but the free version is loaded with intrusive ads that I found disrupts the user experience. While you can upgrade to remove these ads, the value becomes questionable considering its limited functionality and the lack of essential security features.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Super Clean free?

Yes, Super Clean-Master of Cleaner is entirely free. The free version does come with a substantial number of ads, though. You can pay to remove ads with a monthly, quarterly, or annual plan, but I don’t recommend this because there’s no money-back guarantee, and customer support is also limited. You can’t contact a large customer service team 24/7 via live chat or phone as you can with the top antivirus apps.

What does Super Clean do?

Super Clean-Master of Cleaner offers several tools, including a junk file cleaner, a large file remover, a process manager, a photo compressor, a Wi-Fi speed test, and a weather report. The most commonly used tools can be accessed from the main screen.

Remember that Super Clean isn’t an antivirus app, so it won’t be able to scan for and remove malware or protect your device in real time. If you’re looking for virus protection, check out the best free antiviruses for Android.

How do I download Super Clean?

You can download Super Clean-Master of Cleaner from the Google Play Store. After searching for it in the Store, tap the Install button next to the app icon. It should take less than a minute for Super Clean to be fully downloaded onto your Android device.

Then, you’re all set to try out Super Clean’s features completely risk-free. Keep in mind that it’s not an antivirus app — it only cleans cached files and other “junk” from your device. If you want a full-fledged antivirus app, I’d recommend trying Norton.

Bottom Line

Super Clean is a handy app for Android that provides several useful tools. These include junk file removal, process management, and photo compression. It’s easy to use and helps keep your device running efficiently. However, it lacks security features like real-time protection, malware scanning, and a VPN, making it unsuitable if you’re looking for comprehensive internet security and privacy protection. While Super Clean is free and offers some valuable features, it doesn’t compare to more feature-rich options like Norton. If you’re looking for full-fledged internet security, Norton is a much better choice — even if you have to pay a nominal fee.
