Safety Detectives: Please share your company background, how you got started, and your mission.
Diskyver: Diskyver was born from an observation of Mitel’s team according to which the VoIP market was missing a dedicated cybersecurity solution. In 2017 the project started its incubation phase at Alacrité Lille, and one year later, the company is created and raised its first funds.
SD: What is the main service your company offers?
Diskyver: Our solution provides security and prevents risks associated with telephony. Diskyver offers a simplified tool to help companies and administrations to protect their telephony infrastructures. We provide real-time information and live statistics to better understanding the communication traffic, we automatically verify the legitimacy of the communications, and we alert when unusual or fraudulent activity is detected.
SD: What is something unique that helps you stay ahead of your competition?
Diskyver: The machine learning aspect of our solution is very relevant in our market because our main competitors are Session Border Controllers. Session Border Controllers are built with deterministic algorithms compared to our algorithms that are adaptative depending on the unique pattern of telecommunication of a given company. So we are able to give accurate predictions for future fraud or malfunction of the analyzed infrastructure.
SD: What do you think are the worst cyberthreats today?
Diskyver: Cyberthreats are not only about money anymore; data is becoming much more valuable loot for hackers. When a company’s data is leaked, current customers and future ones lose confidence in the company. It is important that companies become aware of the fact that even if they are not dealing with “sensitive information,” they can still lose a lot in a data breach.
